In March 2018, the Garrett family moved from Boston to Eatonton after falling in love with 200 South Washington Avenue. "We are using this gorgeous house as our home and a bed and breakfast, serving gourmet breakfasts and home made treats." Karen is a cordon bleu trained chef and sold her Boston-based restaurant to enjoy a slower pace in the South. Richard is a well-renowned analyst for a higher education company and their son, Fin, is in the 11th grade.
If you enjoy older homes, this is the perfect place to stay - built in 1844 with an abundance of fireplaces, two four-poster beds, a well stocked library and 2 acres of garden, yet right in downtown Eatonton. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast before exploring the nearby sights of Madison, Greensboro and Milledgeville with their antique shops, lake activities, shopping and local restaurants. Right on the doorstep of the Dot 2 Dot Inn is the Uncle Remus Museum, and within 5 minutes walk you can visit the Plaza Arts Center which hosts the Old School History Museum, housing a full-scale vintage drug store, a reproduction of downtown Eatonton, from days gone by, a history gallery and an historic classroom.
The Dot 2 Dot Inn is the perfect location to explore the Antebellum trail, the nearby lakes, Athens and Atlanta, with many places of interest en route. For golf fans, the Inn is within easy driving distance of Augusta and its annual Masters tournament.

Karen and Richard are the most gracious of hosts. They have a beautiful home and their hospitality unmatched. The food and rooms are impeccable, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and I highly recommend this bed & breakfast for a stay.

We spent one wonderful evening in this fantastic establishment, only to be equaled by the wonderful ground/gardens and an exceptional hostess in Karen. Albeit, we were her 1st B&B guests, it was easy to tell that Karen was already well versed in the hospitality industry. The house is a grand mansion and our room was enormous and very comfortable. The antique furniture throughout the B&B was outstanding and indeed a walk through time. The breakfast was very tasty, well presented and sustaining. With the fabulous, sprawling grounds combined and with the gorgeous antebellum manor, this establishment lends itself as the ideal venue for Weddings or large/small Social Gatherings. As discerning B&B owners ourselves, we were totally impressed with this lovely accommodation and highly recommend that you stay there when in the Eatonton, Georgia and surrounding area

Dot 2 Dot Inn - Fabulous New Bed & Breakfast in Eatonton. We just attended the grand opening of Dot 2 Dot Inn, just off the square in Eatonton. It's a fabulous antebellum bed and breakfast. The owners, Richard and Karen Garrett, moved here from Boston. Karen is a Cordon Bleu trained chef originally from London. We were lucky enough to be invited to the grand opening. I was overwhelmed. The appetizers were amazing, the rooms were stunning. They have three guest rooms, a huge patio, and an old south veranda in front.
I'm so delighted to see this place open. Next time have out of town clients come to town, we're planning to have them stay here. I love having a new option. The Lodge is basic, the Ritz is fabulous, yet pricey. This place is so unique. The owner, Karen, told me her aim is to give people a taste of the old South with a modern twist. At the opening, we met Jim Stone of Tytan pictures, who told us he's planning to have his film talent stay there. Has anyone else been by to see this place? They're just getting started on their marketing. https://www.dot2dotinn.com/
If her appetizers were any indication of the breakfasts, the guest experience is going to be amazing.
